Photo Exhibition: "Ag Teacht is ag Imeacht"


Áras Éanna (Arts Centre), Inis Oírr, Aran Islands, Co. Galway.

 

Multi-award winning photographer Michael O'Flanagan of O'Flanagan Photography first visited Inis Oírr (the smallest of the Aran Islands) in 1969 and since then he has been coming and going to the Aran Islands numerous times each year for both long and short stays. He has been photographing the changing face of Inis Oírr since 1971.

Launched in May, 2013, "Ag Teacht is ag Imeacht" ("Coming and Going") is a solo, permanent exhibition of 75 photographs by Michael O'Flanagan, which document aspects of Inis Oírr, the island's modernisation and its people from the early 1970s through to 2013.
